Lee & Karen Goldberg

Lee & Karen Goldberg

Lee Goldberg is a longtime Maine television personality who was diagnosed with prostate cancer after a routine PSA test came back elevated. He chose surgery, and used his platform at Channel 6 to launch Prostate Cancer Maine, a nonprofit pushing for wider PSA testing and insurance coverage. His wife, Karen Goldberg, spent his diagnosis anonymously researching prostate cancer online under a male persona, trying to learn what men in his position were actually afraid of. They're raising seven kids, including Theo, the son they had while all of this was happening.
